Terms of Use

      By downloading or using Rootlock, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.
    

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Rootlock iOS application ("App"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App on Apple devices that you own or control, subject to these Terms and Apple's App Store terms.

You may not:

Copy, modify, or distribute the App or its content
Reverse-engineer or attempt to extract the source code
Use the App for any unlawful purpose

3. Free Tier & Rootlock Pro Subscription

Rootlock offers a free tier and a paid "Rootlock Pro" subscription. The free tier includes limited block lists, apps per list, daily focus sessions, and stats history.

Rootlock Pro — Annual plan:

Includes a 7-day free trial for new subscribers. You will not be charged during the trial period.
After the trial, your subscription automatically renews annually at the price shown at the time of purchase.
Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your device.
No refunds are provided for the unused portion of a subscription period, except where required by law.

Rootlock Pro — Monthly plan:

Billed monthly. Auto-renews each month unless cancelled.
No free trial on the monthly plan.

4. App Store Terms

Your use of the App is also subject to Apple's Standard End User Licence Agreement (EULA), which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

5. Intellectual Property

All content in the App, including graphics, text, and code, is owned by the developer or its licensors and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim.

8. Privacy

Your use of the App is subject to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

9. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction where the developer is based, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
