Terms of Use

Last updated: May 1, 2026

These Terms of Use govern your use of Transcribely, an iPhone and iPad transcription app. By using Transcribely, you agree to these terms.

Use of the app

You are responsible for the recordings, transcripts, notes, summaries, tags, exports, and other content you create or import. Only record or transcribe audio when you have the legal right and necessary permission to do so.

Transcription accuracy

Transcriptions, summaries, key points, decisions, and action items may contain errors or omissions. You should review important output before relying on it. Transcribely is not intended to provide legal, medical, financial, or professional advice.

Free and premium features

Transcribely may offer free usage limits and paid premium features. Free usage limits, premium features, and pricing may change over time. Premium features may include unlimited transcriptions, audio import, advanced exports, organization tools, meeting summaries, and action items.

Subscriptions and purchases

Purchases are processed by Apple through your Apple ID. Subscription billing, cancellation, renewal, refunds, and payment methods are managed by Apple. You can manage subscriptions in your Apple ID settings.

If Transcribely offers a lifetime purchase, it unlocks the described premium features for the lifetime of the app, subject to these terms and technical or legal limitations.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the app, attempt to bypass purchase or usage limits, reverse engineer the app except where allowed by law, use the app to violate another person's privacy or rights, or use the app for unlawful activity.

Intellectual property

Transcribely and its design, code, branding, and features are owned by the developer or licensed to the developer. You retain rights to the recordings, transcripts, and exports you create, subject to rights held by others in the underlying content.

Third-party services

Transcribely may use third-party services such as Apple and RevenueCat for purchase processing and entitlement management. Third-party services are governed by their own terms and policies.

Disclaimer

Transcribely is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, revenue, profits, or business opportunities arising from use of the app.
